I've heard some people say "it doesn't effect me so I won't vote" to which I replied that's exactly the point! If it isn't going to effect you but will bring happiness and joy to someone else's life then you'd be a cruel fool not to vote yes for gay marriage.
I was having a talk with a married chap the other day about same sex marriage and he couldn't understand what all the fuss was about....says he's been having the same sex for years :p
