His biggest mistake was not disappearing when Bran said "Chaos is a ladder".. He should have realised his game was up.. He should have realised Sansa would never forgive him for peddling her to the Boltons.. He should have atleast run after seeing Arya spar with Brienne.. One has to realise, the Starks were coming together, they were not kids anymore and Winterfell was their home.. He overstayed his welcome and bled to death on their floor..
