André the Giant has successfully held the record for the most Beer consumed in a single sitting for the last 40 years. During a six-hour period back in 1976, André drank 119 standard 12 ounce brews in a pub in Pennsylvania.
I went to Denver Comic Con this year and was up front for the Wallace Shawn (inconceivable!) panel. He shared some really heartfelt insights about Andre and also told us that Andre got into wrestling because he was big into map making and geography. Andre wanted to travel, and he determined that the best way to travel around the world was by wrestling. Kind of cool.

That's 41.6 litres.I wouldn't even think that anyone could drink that much water in 6 hours.
If the beer was 4% alcohol he costumed 1.66 litres of pure alcohol. Equivalent to drinking 3.7 litres of Jack Daniel's.
