Even beauty queens aren't perfect, according to Miss Asia Pacific World pageant officials, who dethroned their newest teenage honoree for refusing to get breast implants.

Burmese beauty queen May Myat Noe lost her title last week due to her "lack of personality, integrity, loyalty to the organization, and lovely character," officials said in a statement issued the same day. The letter also cites her "ungrateful attitude and trustworthiness" as part of their reasoning.

That "ungrateful attitude" refers to the 16-year-old's decision not to permanently alter her physical appearance, even when the organization offered to foot the bill.

Noe is ready to relinquish the title and tiara, just as soon as she gets an apology, she said in a press conference Tuesday.

Noe won the title in May, but later returned to Seoul to leverage her success into a singing career. Officials decided bigger breasts were a part of the deal. "We thought she should be more beautiful...so as soon as she arrived we sent her to the hospital to operate on her breasts," said David Kim, director of media for the pageant, The Guardian reports.

The beauty queen denied the officials' demand. She left South Korea with the crown and headed back to Myanmar, original parts intact.

Pageant officials want a new queen to fill Noe's shoes, but first, they need that $100,000 Swarovski crystal-encrusted tiara back. Kim claims the former queen absconded with the crown, but Noe claims she did not know of her dethronement until she had already left Seoul.

Noe wants to wipe her hands clean of Miss Asia Pacific West, but she's holding onto the crown until pageant officials apologize for calling her a thief, not to mention for trying to strong-arm her into breast augmentation.

"I don't want a crown from an organization with such a bad reputation," Noe said. "But I won't give it back to the Koreans unless they apologize. Not just to me but my country for giving it a bad image."

If they wanted a girl with big plastic boobs, why didn't they pick a girl with big plastic boobs. I'm sure they weren't starved for choice.

Sounds pretty messed up. Good for her to take a stand.
