did he survive though? ive been in situations where civil courage was required and it takes some effort to take actions rather then stare and wait for somebody else to step in... I hope hes fine and salute his bravery

A Swedish tourist Hassan Zubier vacation trip to Turku was abruptly interrupted on Friday by an stabbing attack.
From Märsta, just outside Stockholm, Hassan Zubier, 45, was walking with his female friend in the afternoon at Turku marketsquare when a man started to stab people with a knife.
"Suddenly I heard screaming. I turned around and saw a man stabbing a woman who was laying down", Zubier says to Expressen (Swedish magazine) on Friday at Turku's hospital.
Zubier rushed to help the woman. He turned around the woman and tried to stop the bleeding. Others at the scene tried to perform CPR on the woman.
Then Zubier saw the man attacking his female friend.
"I went in between them and got two stab wounds. My female friend got scratches on her upper arm."
Zubier tells that he returned to the woman who was laying down even while the man with the knife was nearby. The woman was dying says Zubier but Zubier wanted to try to save her.
The woman bled from her throat and Zubier tried to get it to stop bleeding. That is when Zubier got attacked again by the knife wielding man.
"The woman was so badly hurt that she died in my arms" Zubier tells to Expressen.
Turku resident Elina Rauhala saw the woman and Zubier's stabbing.
"I saw that a woman got hit. I didn't see a knife. The woman dropped on her knees and then onto the ground" Rauhala says.
She tells that Zubier managed to fend off the attacker. Rauhala also came to the scene.
"I thought the woman was beaten" Rauhala says. Then she noticed that the situation was far worse.
Zubier held the woman's neck trying to stop the bleeding. She took out her phone and started to dial to 112. (equivalent to 911)
At the same time someone yelled that the attacker is coming back. Rauhala and others started to run away from the scene.
"I turned around to look and the man who went to help the woman was still holding her neck. Then the attacker stabbed the man."
Zubier got stab wounds at least on his neck, chest as well behind his shoulders and ended up in a hospital.
"My left arm is severely hurt. Nerves has been damaged and so its not sure if my arm can be saved." Zubier tells to Expressen.
Zubier had arrived with his female friend to Turku with an RV. They were meant to return to Sweden on a ferry during Friday evening.
