Most venues I've been too have a handicapped section in the very front and off to the side to avoid this issue, this sucks. I'm sorry that happened to you OP.

Hey bud, I worked a Metallica concert at a venue in the US for the Hardwired tour, it was a very energetic show and people stood for pretty much the whole thing. Unfortunately, I can't attest to Canadian laws, but in the US we have raised platforms which are high enough that you can see over people standing below.

We are told not to promise seat upgrades, but to send them to the guest services booth for an inquiry. Did you talk to any one during the event about your experience and seats? After a quick googling I found this:

For your convenience, customer service attendants and ushers are located throughout the stands before and during the game.

Staff can assist you with problems that arise. You can also call the Fan Hotline or text the Guest Assist line for assistance.

Fan Hotline: 780-477-3665 Guest Assist: text 780-666-3411

And this: Telephone In Edmonton: 311 Outside Edmonton: 780-442-5311 Email [email protected]

I would call the Fan Hotline or other number and report the issue and ask for an email address where you can send the picture. If this is indeed a handicap seating location you may want to bring this to the attention of local media.
