Here's a little mindfuck for you.

Down here in Bermuda we have two political parties: the white party (OBA) and the black party (PLP). The OBA isn't actually a "white" party though, the majority of their MPs are black. That's just how the opposition has painted them. The PLP has about 2 white guys I think. That said, they have about 4 openly gay black MPs, one of whom sits on the cabinet after the won the election last month. Anyways, enough context.

Earlier this year our Supreme Court ruled in favour of gay marriage. Can you guess what is first on the docket for the PLP? Reversing that decision.

I've tried every which way to figure out the disconnect, but at the end of the day I can only settle on religion as the answer. They fucking hate gay people down here (I was called various slurs myself for merely reporting on the issue), and no matter how much you try to point out the similarities between the groups, they're hearing none of it.

Anyways, my point is that despite all this hubbaloo going on over on your shores, your founding fathers had their shit together and its good to see the various branches of your government working against unconstitutional actions. I wish we had something similar.
