I'm a Californian, lived in Amman for a year, it gets pretty cold during the winter. If you're from a place that snows you'll be able to handle it just fine but most of the people there including myself haven't acclimated to cold weather. Winter season typically lasts three months. Rain and snow aren't that nasty but their drainage system is horrible. When it rains there even if its only a couple of inches it sure to flood.
