"I looked the man [Putin] in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy. We had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul; a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country."

We have had terrible presidents. Liars, egomaniacs, heck, even a couple who were fine with genocide ( I'm looking at you Andrew Jackson). But, there was one thing that none of them did, and that thing was, being another leader's b*tch.

My father was right - history is being much kinder to George W. than any of us would have guessed in 2007. I mean, that's not something with which you'd want to frame a presidential legacy, but all things considered I guess that's a good start.

edit: You guys are dense. My comment has nothing to do with right or wrong, good or bad. Calm down. Geez.
