One problem I see is that if we implement UBI we will have so many immigrants moving to the US because we are literally giving out money. Maybe if there were a policy where you have to have lived in the US for at least X years in order to qualify for UBI.

I'm not xenophobic this is a problem about over population/lack of resources.

Question:

What do they intend for the UBI to cover? Is it just food and shelter? What falls within the circle of human rights?

I'm glad to see discussions about this are finally taking place. As of now, it's a horrible idea, but give it 5-10 years as automation begins cutting into jobs and the growing necessity will be obvious.
