My grandfather (who passed at the age of 96 back in 2003) was 100% convinced that every Chinese restaurant in the USA was a front for Chinese special ops. He refused to ever eat at a Chinese restaurant because of that reason. When he died, my grandma started eating at a Chinese restaurant a couple of blocks from her home. To this day (she's 97) she goes to that restaurant 3 times a week.
