2nd grade teacher here: I use the Temple Teams in my classroom and offer watching episodes of this as a reward to my students. My kids always have a choice between the six teams. They also compete against each other to try and earn positive points for their team so they can be the victorious team at the end of the school week.
Dunno what I would have named my teams after if it weren't for this show.
Also, they did a soft reboot of this by releasing a movie. It wasn't that bad.
