My wife's birthday is on the 21st, I thought it would be a great idea to book a hotel and go to a place so we could have 100% totality and around 2m 40seconds of it. But, there isn't a hotel available in that swath from Kentucky to Charleston.
I'm one of the people who helps forecast supply chain for McDonald's restaurants. Adding a lift for something so distinctly geographical and one-off is really tough. Small towns are getting 500,000 visitors, and have just 50,000 living there any other time.

I am going to the US as a high school exchange student from North Africa and I am so excited and grateful to witness this phenomenon.
