Frank Burns: Klinger, how dare you wear that hat while in uniform?

Klinger: It's spring, sir.

IMO...one of the greatest/wittiest/smartest lines in TV history was when :

Col.Flagg: I have permission to kill myself if I need to.

Hawkeye: If we had more men like you, we'd have less men like you.

( Brilliance, pure brilliance)

Wow, I actually have a Jamie Farr story to contribute:

I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Farr many years ago when his autobiography (Just Farr Fun) was published. I was working at a bookstore back then and he was scheduled for a book signing. Since he was a very popular character on a very popular show - and since this was a bookstore in northern Ohio - the place was packed. Like, people waiting out the door packed. Our manager (who was a huge MASH fan from Toledo) warned us we were probably going to have to stay later because she'd decided to keep the bookstore open until everyone in line had a chance to meet him.

Mr. Farr patiently chatted with everyone & signed every single book for everyone in line. When he found out our manager was keeping the store open extra hours for him, he asked for the number of a local pizza place, and ordered pizza & beer for all the employees on his dime.

After all the customers left, he stayed to chat with the employees & even posed for a picture. Just a 100% class act all the way around. I'm glad to have met him.
