Her Royal Highness is far more relatable than you may have imagined.
While Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II is a much-adored member of the monarchy, news has been released that will raise her to new heights (among drinking circles anyway). The Independent UK recently revealed that Queen Elizabeth II is a fan of a daily tipple, so much so that she indulges in six standard units of alcohol a day.
The Queen’s cousin Margaret Rhodes says that her drinking routine never deviates, remaining the same day after day. As to what the Queen indulges in, it involves the following: prior to lunch she has a gin and Dubonnet, served with a slice of lemon and ice. During lunch she enjoys a glass of wine and, once evening arrives, the Queen sips on a dry martini, followed by a glass of Champagne.
As to which brands she prefers there are a handful of brands that currently hold a royal warrant, including Gordon’s Gin, as well as Champagne producers Bollinger, Lanson, and Krug.
A monarch who can drink us under the table? We’ll cheers to that

Gin "before lunch" does sound less alcoholic than "at breakfast".

And she's tiny. So she's basically rocking a soft buzz all day.

I had 8 pints earlier and now I've to go to work. Your move Liz.
