This image is a combination of three different wavelengths of UV (171, 193, and 211 Angstroms), taken by the AIA telescope on NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).
The first time I tried LSD, everything had this raimbow shimmering glow to it that looked exactly like this. I could never accurately describe it, but this is a perfect representation of what it looked like. I don't know if psychedelics unlock something that allows you to see UV or maybe I was just tripping, but it's pretty interesting.

N00b question: Does a UV lens see only the UV, or filter out the UV?
