Ninjas, quicksand, lighting myself on fire, free offers of drugs everywhere and down power lines were all things that have not turned out to be as big a problem as they were made out to be.
Just picked up Neuromancer last night for the first time in about 15 years. I've the first chapter there was some pretty cool stuff about ninja stars. What a coincidence!
This comic is very well timed considering the conversation I had with my son last night:
Scene: driving into Philadelphia. Me: I haven’t been to Philadelphia since I was in high school. Son: Why did you go then? Me: A friend and I drove up from Maryland to buy ninja stars Son: ??? Me: They were illegal in Maryland so we had to drive to Pennsylvania and my friend heard that they sold them in Philly’s China Town. Son: ?????? Me: It was the 80s son, everyone needed ninja stars and nunchucks. end scene.
