I work for a hat company and am very familiar with Stetson.. I am confused on how that is a $300 hat. Where did you get it from? Looks like a 3 bu 2x2 weave in shantung straw. Depending on when you bought it, it should have cost anywhere from $80 to $100.
If it was from Ecuadorian Panamanian Straw I would say yes $300, but it looks nothing like that.
For people asking why the high cost.
Those hats are woven by hand and take days to make.
