What does that even mean? no for real what does "it cost me $10,000 of my time"? are they talking about airplane tickets? what airplane ticket costs only $30?
That "opportunity cost" kind of logic doesn't make sense to me. If I had a job where I got paid $100/hour and chose to spend two hours on a weekend baking cookies, that doesn't make those cookies worth $200. The worth of your time is determined by what you choose to do with it. Booking seats on a flight as part of a job is worth very little, and booking them for yourself pays nothing.
