Luis Jiménez, the New Mexico sculptor in charge, died in 2006 after a piece of the horse fell on top of him, pinning him to the ground, local news station The Denver Channel reported at the time. He was 65.

Driving to the airport and then seeing this is disturbing.
Seeing this on your way to the airport and knowing that it has killed a man is even more disturbing.
