I'm not sure if this is a statement on the standards of creativity by the medium or a statement of what we see as art, but I like it.

This feels a little like ADHD feels on days when I can't get "anything" done. It feels like all my effort and talent go to waste because the paint never actually makes it on the canvas, i.e. I don't complete the initial task I set out to do. But look! I have all this work to show for it! I made my whole LIFE into a painting!!! "Yes, Miss Smith, but you didn't follow the directions."

This is actually a great interpretation of the feeling you get when you know what's inspiring you and feel the idea you want to convey, but you can't bring yourself to translate it to a page. The blank page stays empty, but your mind and world couldn't be more colorful.
