Fun fact: The reason the ACCC set up their first call centre was because of the call volume they expected to get due to the introduction of the GST in the year 2000.

Why did they expect so many calls?

Because businesses would raise their prices by more than 10% and blame the GST. Exactly what is happening here, intentionally or not.

Call the ACCC. 1300 302 502

I have heard that netflix base their price around piracy rates in a given country. If piracy rates go down, their price goes up. https://www.businessinsider.com.au/netflix-piracy-international-pricing-streaming-earnings-2015-4

Australian Netflix is a joke, you get a third of the shows that the US get.
