Possibly the fastest growing social media app, Instagram has nearly 700 million people every month posting pictures reflecting their everyday life. Most politicians use Instagram in this fashion as well, including Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

His Instagram account received some attention Thursday when the website WIRED published an article saying Walker lacks artistic inclinations in his social media presence.

"(His photos) feature everything you expect of an Instagram account. He photographs food. He photographs "events." He photographs presumably enjoyable activities. And yet, Governor Walker insists on focusing on the least appealing part of his experience every single time," the article said.

The article cites Instagram pictures where the governor had an opportunity to take nice pictures, like a picture of the sky during a flight, but instead he opted for a less-intriguing picture of the emergency exit.

The article also highlights Walker's favorite meal – a brown bag lunch containing a ham and cheese sandwich, which might pale in comparison to artsy foodie Instagram accounts.

Walker, who presumably saw the post, responded Thursday on Instagram offering to buy a beer for members of the liberal media who do not like his social media presence.

For those in the liberal media who don't like my Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, I have a simple response: Can I get you a beer? A post shared by Scott Walker (@scottwalker) on Jul 6, 2017 at 3:13pm PDT

He shared the response on Twitter as well, where his response is gaining attention.

To be fair this is by far the least harrowing of Scott Walker's food/bev pics — Patrick Monahan (@pattymo) July 6, 2017

But the post may have backfired, as many Twitter users said Walker continues the boring Instagram aesthetic revealed in the WIRED article by opting for a Miller Lite.

Oh, you snowflake libs think I'm boring?!?! Well take THIS. — Michael Krogmann (@Krogs140) July 6, 2017

Some users said he should have opted for a New Glarus beer instead.

You live in a state responsible for @newglarusbeer and you still drink Miller Lite? — d_mcc (@d_mccarthy37) July 6, 2017

Many were offended that he would offer a light beer.

You are from a state with some of the greatest independent breweries in the world, and you offer me this? Delete your account. — Mark Rechtin (@MarkRechtin) July 6, 2017

First, he calls Chicago deep dish "pizza," now he calls *this* "beer"? Have you no sense of decency, sir? — Siraj Hashmi (@SirajAHashmi) July 6, 2017

One person believes Walker does not post honestly, but to make him look like an Average Joe to his constituents.

But many took the post seriously, and some wanted to take Walker up on the offer.

Media person here. Please give me all your beers. — David Roth (@david_j_roth) July 6, 2017

I'm not a liberal but sure I'll take one or 2🍺#BeerMe — dave forbes (@Messenjah34) July 6, 2017

At one point, Walker's son Alex stood up for his dad, saying he would kill them with kindness.

In the end, most dubbed the tweet as a failed attempt.

Good lord Scotty boy you might as well have shaken it up and let it sprayed you in the face after all the comments I just read 😂😂😂😂😂 — YourLeastFavoriteBFF (@SK_RuF) July 6, 2017

He's been promoting Miller lite, a union-made beer, after becoming infamous for being a "union-buster." Also he grasping to hide his super obvious bald spot that everyone knows about.

He's just an everyday normal guy.
