Tsz Shan Monastery is a large Buddhist temple located in Tung Tsz, Hong Kong.

The Guanyin statue, 76 meters in height, is the second highest in the world.

Completed in 2015, the daily quota for visitors was initially limited to 400. During this time, only visitation requests from local non-profit organizations, registered charities, and funded welfare agencies were accepted, but as of 2017 reservations are taken from the general public as well.

This statue of guanyin is the opposite of evil. She (or he depending on the reincarnation) achieved enlightenment and earned the right to leave the world of suffering, but decided to stay to assist people in need. Amongst Buddhist, she is know for her selflessness, compassion, and assistance during time of need. One iteration of guanyin depicts her with a thousand arms and eleven heads. The story is that she was so overwhelmed with the cries of the suffering that she split her head into eleven pieces and her arms into a thousand so that she could help as many people as possible.
