Race aside, it's nice to see someone so young doing good things.

Edit: FFS, people want drama where it isn't. 1. I think 36 is young to be the sole owner of a business. If you think 36 is old, we'll agree to disagree. 2. "Race aside" does not mean ignore her race or some other "colour-blind" bs. It means that even if she weren't black, this would be remarkable. Her race makes it doubly so. You can interpret it however you like but that's what I meant and I still think it's clear upon re-reading. No hidden meanings here.

Raised in Compton here. Back in the 80s and 90s Compton was 90% black. Today it is predominantly Latino. Crime has gone way down ever since the Compton PD was fired and replaced by LA county sherif and the Mexican gang peace treaty focused on eliminating black gang doninace of the city. Most stores today are Asian and latino Owned.
