There's a coffee shop right around the corner from where I live that employs people with down syndrome. Shop is called 'brownies & downies'! 😁 Not sure if that would be acceptable in the US but I find it funny nonetheless.

At the restaurant I work at we have a guy who is deaf and just hired another guy who suffers from tbi like disabilities without actually having any disabilities. And at our sister store we have a cashier that is blind, a floor person who has Down syndrome and another floor person who is developmentally delayed. I tell you what they are all amazing and have taught me so much about what you can do when you put your mind to it.

It's always so nice to hear something like this where everyone gets a chance. We used to have a restaurant here in Toronto that employed deaf people and customers were encouraged to sign their orders. It was a cute little place (even cuter, its name was Signs) but unfortunately, it closed last year :(
