Whichever city you visit in Iran, the bazaar will be suggested as a highlight. It gets a bit repetitive, and frankly, a bazaar during business hours can be a bit too much. But early in the morning, especially on a Friday, you can be lucky and happen upon a scene like this. It's from Isfahan, the second city of Iran.
Not exactly fun fact about the headwear of Iranian religious leaders: If you can trace your family line back to Muhammad himself, you are allowed to wear a black turban. All other clergy must use a white one. And if you're not clergy, wearing a proper religious turban of any color is a serious criminal offense in Iran.
