The bazaars in Iran are usually very busy, but go there early in the morning to see their quiet side.

Whichever city you visit in Iran, the bazaar will be suggested as a highlight. It gets a bit repetitive, and frankly, a bazaar during business hours can be a bit too much. But early in the morning, especially on a Friday, you can be lucky and happen upon a scene like this. It's from Isfahan, the second city of Iran.

Not exactly fun fact about the headwear of Iranian religious leaders: If you can trace your family line back to Muhammad himself, you are allowed to wear a black turban. All other clergy must use a white one. And if you're not clergy, wearing a proper religious turban of any color is a serious criminal offense in Iran.

I'd like to see Iran, so hopefully everyone gets on better terms someday.
