My mom graduated the same university that I currently go to. It was 9k/year in '88 and 33k/year right now.

You aint lying. I had to move back home.

It's cheaper to move back in and help with the bills than blowing income on a 1/1 in a semi okay neighborhood for $700 a month and then the $50.00 "rent adjustment" every time you renew your lease.

I may not have the privacy I want, but it feels nice to see the fam more, have the ability to help the folks and save tbh...

Edit: I'm in North Louisiana. Where I was staying is a few miles from a petroleum and glassware plant. The closer you are to the plant the cheaper. Cheapest 2/2 house with a big backyard and den was $350....but it's RIGHT behind the plant. People that stay in those areas for more than a few months start getting real sick from the fumes and wastes.

I'm out in the woods with my folks and I pay atleast $125 a month for "rent" plus, I take em out to dinner once or twice a month. I don't have a dude anyway so I just work, take care of my kid, and save.
