I try to be a good friend to my future self. Something simple like a spare twenty and aluna bar stashed in my purse for when I might need it. Money in savings for future unexpected expenses. Getting ahead in my work so I won’t stress about new stuff that suddenly shows up. All that causes my future self to breath a sigh of relief. Better to be a good friend to yourself than your own worst enemy.
