That's very interesting in a terrifying way. Probably a mix of the lack of mature trees plus newer homes causing the visible difference.

Found it on Google Maps. Just scanning Street View and you can really see the loss in tree cover.

If you go to Google maps with satellite mode on, search for Markton, WI, zoom out a bit, and you'll see a line cut through the forest which was a tornado a long time ago.
