What those guys are doing is called rigging! All those things hanging from the ceiling are chain with motors at the end. From the motors, truss, banners and other things will be hung. It's what I do for a living and very cool!
Next time you're at a trade show, look up and check out all the rigging, lights and audio. It's a cool world that a lot of people don't even notice.
