WI 1st Congressional District

Just weeks before launching his campaign, David’s mother became suddenly sick, suffering from complications from undiagnosed COPD and pneumonia, so he flew to Florida to be by her side. She was placed in a medically-induced coma, and the doctors told him that he may have to make a life-or-death decision for her. His mother’s health scare transpired while Paul Ryan was working to take health care coverage away from more than 20 million Americans.

While his mother is recovering, David was furious thinking about all the Americans who die because Paul Ryan and others in Washington think health care is a privilege and not a right.

He knew he had to do something, so he decided to move to Wisconsin and run. Over and over, he heard the same things:

Paul Ryan doesn’t listen to us.

Paul Ryan doesn’t care about us.

Paul Ryan doesn’t understand what it is like to be an ordinary American.

But David will listen to you.

He cares about you. He understands what it is like to be an ordinary American because he is one. Paul Ryan has forgotten who sent him to Congress. David will never forget.

I would love to see Paul Ryan unseated, but this guy doesn't stand a chance.

A lot of politics has to do with optics. That is a terrible photo.

This is more or less what the front page says, "I didn't move here because I love the people, culture and land in this area, I just hate Paul Ryan."

A lot of people, myself included, consider Huffington Post and Raw Story to be a sub-par news sources. These publications are generally blindingly biased, and I say this as a liberal.

I highly doubt that the voters that elected Paul Ryan 11 times would go for this guy. Hell, I'd have a hard time voting for this guy for the above mentioned reasons

Is the fact he's not from WI a big deal? Reasonably speaking it seems it might be a pretty big negative for him

Good. Paul's district isn't even that red.
