He looks like one of the jelly stress balls that bulge when squeezed.

Or like a wet ladybug.

It looks like one of those raspberry candies with all the little balls on them that Haribo makes.

Last November I was laying in bed and felt a thing hitting my face. I turn on the light and there is a ladybug flying around my room. It looked very old and tattered.

I was shocked at how late in the year it was for ladybugs. I look up online and it should have been hibernating and they like to eat soaked raisins as they can only drink through eating.

I get a plate with some damp cloth and some soaked raisins with a loo roll tube to hide in and leave it on my bed side table I catch the ladybug and put it on the plate and it quickly goes to the raisins. I fall asleep.

I wake up for work and lady bug still alive and on plate nestled under some of the cloth.

I return from work and the lady bug is gone. I leave the plate and raisins out for a few more days just in case.

In March I have changed jobs, new year new me. I forgot all about the ladybug. I am in bed and hear a buzzing coming from the top of my blinds. I check it out and it is the same ladybug! It must have hibernated on my blind fittings. I get more raisins for it and go to sleep. Just as I am drifting off it flies into my water cup...

I rescue the ladybug, dab it very gently with my duvet cover to dry and put it with the raisins. I drift of again and it flies into my water again so I rescue it. I read up and it is about time it stopped hibernating so I catch it and release the ladybug outside.

It was very clumsy but still a good boy.
