Verdun Hayes on 13th May became the oldest person in the world to complete a 15,000-foot tandem jump at 101 years, according to Guinness World Records.

He wasn’t alone while at this as he completed the jump with eight family members and two close friends at Dunkeswell Airfield in England.

The best part is that this wasn’t Hayes’ first time at skydiving.

At 100, he became the oldest man in Britain to complete a tandem skydive and that’s when he decided to shoot for the world record.

Since it was such a big event, it was decided that as many people in the family as could possibly get were going to go in support of him.

He had four generations of his family in the air at the same time, who ranged from age 16 to 101. The family threw Hayes a big party to celebrate his achievement.

The phrasing in this piece is so odd. "At 100, he became the oldest man in Britain to complete a tandem skydive". What, a lot of around-100-year-olds tried but thought better of it midway and floated back into the plane before it landed?
