My friend's grandfather was a fiercely hard working and independent farmer that lived in the rural Canadian Maritimes.
The sort of guy that found that nobody but himself could do the job right.
He and his wife are buried next to each other. Grandmother's grave says something like "Loving mother, devoted wife, beautiful friend".
Grandfather's epitaph is, "NO, I'LL DO IT MYSELF."
