The first Charity Invitational and livestream event for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was a huge success, raising almost $225,000 to support the recovery of hospitalized children.

Check out the highlight video below, which was created in celebration of the event's success.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' Charity Invitational, which was announced last month by the game's creator, Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene, took place on May 4. The event featured 128 streamers from North America and Europe who were grouped in teams by region to compete in a series of matches.

The money that was raised during the event will go to Gamers Outreach, an organization that provides hospitalized children with equipment and software to help them cope with their treatment.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds released on Steam Early Access in March to incredible success, raking in a whopping $11 million during its first weekend. For loads of tips and tricks when playing Bluehole Studio's last-man-standing shooter, check out IGN's PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds wiki guide.

Even though I've never played this game, I've only seen positive things about it.

Don't get me wrong its a good Battle Royale game, but why do all these Survival Early Access Games like this have terrible Performance ffs. ARK still runs like shit so does H1Z1, still very good steam reviews and tons of sales..

I'm curious to see how long this game remains popular.
