The Dublin student who mislaid his laptop in a taxi last week has been reunited with it after a viral search campaign headed by JK Rowling.

Jamal Sul had left his laptop containing valuable PhD notes in a taxi last Friday, after a night out celebrating his thesis correction.

He posted a message on Facebook on Wednesday night, informing friends about the incident and asking them to spread the word in an effort to track the taxi driver down.

"I was worried that [the caller] wasn't legit so Newstalk sent a driver out to retrieve the laptop for me.

They were afraid that it would go missing in lost property so they wanted to reach out to me directly.

Jamal, who is doing a PhD in therapies for multiple sclerosis, said he can't believe his good fortune. »

The glue could be used to prevent unsightly scars after accidental cuts or surgical operations.

They combined a small section of the decorin protein with a collagen-binding molecule and a sticky substance secreted by mussels. »

FCC Temporarily Stops Taking Net Neutrality Comments So FCC Can 'Reflect'

As lots of people have been commenting (some of which are fake) on the FCC's proposed plan to rollback net neutrality, the FCC will be temporarily be shutting down the ability to comment.

Nor is it in response to the site being overwhelmed -- whether by John Oliver or [snort!]

Apparently, the geniuses at the FCC don't know how to just not read the incoming comments for a few days. »
