Before you go, we thought you'd like these...

George and Amal Clooney have a lot of puppy love.

Camp Cocker Rescue recently revealed in a Facebook post that the parents-to-be donated $10,000 to the California animal rescue organization, so that they may look after nine dogs they took in from a backyard breeder. "Well, you can imagine how blown away we were when we heard that a $10,000 donation was pledged to our doggies," read the post shared on Tuesday. "Our generous donors would like to see their donation doubled by all of you, so for the month of May, every dollar you donate will be matched (up until we reach $10,000)."

At the start of the video, Camp Cocker Rescue kept the name of their famous donors a secret, leading up to the big reveal with a drumroll. "After we all did happy dances and cried with happiness for this unbelievable matching donation offer -- we then asked the donors if (and only if they gave us their permission) ... if we could reveal their names to our supporters in order to help us reach our big goal this month," the post noted. "They were so very gracious to give us permission to reveal their names. We want to thank George and Amal Clooney for their unbelievable donation and now it's time to turn to all of YOU to see if you can match it!!!!"

It's no secret that the Clooneys -- who are expecting twins -- have a soft spot for animals in need. In October 2015, the couple brought home a 4-year-old basset hound named Millie from California's San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, and a few months later, they adopted a terrier named Nate for the 55-year-old actor's parents.

In an exclusive interview with ET, George gushed over his parents' pup. "He's very famous in my mom and dad's hometown of Augusta, Kentucky," he quipped. "He's gone from a shelter in Cincinnati to fame -- much like I did, really."

"[Nate is] the love of their lives," Clooney continued. "They love him."

Not sure why people are getting down about this. My aunt volunteers with this organization (Camp Cocker) and fosters some of their sicker rescues. George Clooney has been awesome to them regardless of this donation - he actually adopted a rescue cocker spaniel from there a few years ago. Here's a story about it.

My aunt interacted with him a bit during the adoption process (I think she was fostering the dog) and said he was one of the kindest, most down to earth people she's ever met. I know there are lots of people that need money and help, but I'm glad these dogs are getting some love too!

George Clooney alone has average annual earnings of $19,000,000. This comes out to roughly $365,000 per week. This is about $73,000 per work day, making $10,000 a little more than one hour's pay. It better than them not donating, but ask yourself if you had donated one hour's worth of your pay if you would want a national news story written up about it.
