Currently feeling this right now. I graduated last year with from a cough prestigious cough University... and after several months of extensive job-hunting (as though it were my fulltime job), I handed my application to IGA today to work as a check-out chick.

Hopefully will bide the time until something comes along, until then, I'll just have to keep getting my hopes up over amazing-sounding jobs that only pay me in ~experience~

Planet Money had a podcast a little while ago in which they brought together five economists, from five top schools in the US, on all different points of the political spectrum. The goal was to come up with some policy changes that all of them could agree on.

Getting rid of the mortgage interest rate deduction was one of them. Subsidizing homeowners at the expense of renters is fucking stupid.

The problem is that no politician would be brave enough to take this stance against the millions of homeowners who love this deduction.
