They see nazis and crypto-fascists around every corner, but bloating crime rates in europe are apparently not a problem.

Forced Hijab is one thing, which is what these Iranian women were protesting against. Voluntarily worn is another story.

In a place where women are told they need to wear a hijab whether or not they want to, it's a symbol of oppression.
In a place where women are told they can't wear a hijab whether or not they want to, it's a symbol of resistance.
The contexts are different. These two things are not mutually exclusive.
