Tom Harrison also known as Mr Gorilla makes his way crawling along part of the London Marathon course in aid of the charity 'Gorilla Organization' Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Tom Harrison, who began crawling the London Marathon dressed in a gorilla suit 6 days ago, finished the race Saturday, the BBC reported.

Harrison, dubbed Mr. Gorilla is raising money for the Gorilla Organization — so far more than 22,000 pounds ($28,500) have been pledged.

He finished the race Saturday, and his two sons were expected at the finish line to celebrate his feat.

He ran the marathon last year raising money for gorillas, but found crawling much more stressful.

"It's shoulders, hamstrings, glutes, quads, from the constant crouching," he says. "We're not really designed to do that."

Harrison said the money will be used to protect endangered gorillas in Africa.

The Reasons Boston Marathon Runners Finish

The Boston Marathon is grueling for every runner. For some, it's not about speed, it's about the accomplishment. (Published Tuesday, April 18, 2017)

He was interviewed on the radio a few days ago; fun fact is that he's actually a policeman.

What's not mentioned in the article is that this isn't a continuous attempt as in the evenings he would take a car back to his friend's house and then be driven back to where he left off in the morning.

He also stated that he would only crawl about 200m at a stretch before resting (because of the obvious strain on the body)

Like seriously, did he sleep? Is he okay after this?
