Krampus, being a supernatural entity, is bound by the supernatural laws of his existence. Krampus exists to punish those who have misbehaved.
Thus we can infer that if Santa is truly a good, kind-hearted, jolly old soul, he would have nothing to fear from Krampus, and Krampus could not attack him.
