Air travel is really strange this way. I average 8 flights a week, 50wks a year and it is without exception. I see people doing things in airports and on planes I am nearly certain they do not do outside of air travel. I mean, you always see folks who just left /r/trashy to catch a flight, but those you can sort of understand. They're the ones who don't travel much. They don't understand how security lines work. They don't understand how boarding groups work. They, I understand. I've been in 1st class with some of the most non-self-aware people on the planet. I've seen people blow their noses on tissues and just throw it on the floor, or worse, stuff it in the seat back pocket. I've seen them sprawl over into the seats next to them. Watch a movie on their tablet with no headphones and the volume cranked up. Play games in the same fashion. Demand to be waited on hand and foot by attendants. In fact, I've traveled with people whom I know well who are NOT like that at other times but transform into this mystery being while on a damn plane. I just don't get it. You're packed into a damn tube for hours on end. This is the time where you turn your manners and discretion up to like 11 for the sake of a peaceable society. Man, I'm sick of flying.
