This is the highway between Moab and Monticello (near Arches NP) before you head through the canyon going south. It's just off the east side of the highway and there are about 2-3 similar monoliths viewable on this drive.
Geology is fascinating. What the fuck was going on in the red years? What about the yellow years? What happened in the crusty white years? What's all that bullshit on top?

Spent a week visiting canyonlands, arches, Zion, Bryce and capitol reef. Awesome week.
