Got him when I was three. He was the same age. I named him Buttons. We're now both 18, to this day he is the friendliest and most loyal cat I know. He can no longer hear, and is a bit slower, but he's the same loyal cat I adopted so many years ago.

My own 18 year old cat passed just yesterday and I'll miss him terribly. I'm happy to see such a beautiful cat like yours be so cherished by someone like you. Pet him extra from a stranger online, okay?

Your description of "friendly" and "loyal," coupled with the gravity and calm of his facial expression... I dunno man. Maybe I've had a little bit much to drink, but I for some reason get the sense that Buttons would have made a really fine human being.
