Yes people need to remember the Epstein files, and yes the administration has tried to bury them... but at a certain point, it begins to feel like people think simply talking about the Epstein files is going to solve US authoritarianism and corruption. Morality doesn't matter to these people, and truth doesn't matter since they have no commitment to what's true. They are literally killing people in the streets and threatening "bloodshed" against critics of ICE. Their supporters like that they kill people, so pointing out hypocrisy is fruitless. The discussion needs to stop focusing on proclaiming "hey, this is not normal" or "look, they are lying about this issue", since we are well beyond that point. The question instead needs to be "there are fascists in our government openly transforming us into Nazi Germany, so what does this morally obligate us to do in response?" Only then can people accept the reality before them and understand this is no longer the world we grew up in, where using logical reasoning to prove you are right was an effective political strategy. Only then will people understand the urgency in immediate direct action if we want to put an end to this nightmare before they consolidate enough power to create a permanent high-tech totalitarian state that is impossible to challenge from within. The clock is ticking, and this is not a matter of who's right, but of which side has enough people willing to take political action.
