Anecdotal, but I took a few pictures driving through my very red neighborhood about a year ago and I just compared them to the way it looks now. There were at least 30 Trump or MAGA coded flags a year ago and there's 2 now. I've talked to some of these folks and they are mostly unhappy with Trump, but I don't think a single one of them would vote for a Democrat instead.
My band plays regularly at an honest to god real biker bar, full of guys in club colors (including HA), and with lots of heavy Harleys in the parking lot (and one on the stage where the band plays).
We’ve been playing there at least once a month for several years. Like most such establishments, it felt like a monument to Trump for a while. Trump flags, Trump posters, Trump T-shirts, mixed in with the usual second amendment and patriotic macho outlaw biker bullshit decor.
We just played there yesterday. One of my bandmates pointed it out, and I hadn’t even noticed: there was not a single piece of Trump paraphernalia to be seen anywhere in the place. This place was super Trumpy for several years. Something has shifted.
