LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Kentucky U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell was admitted to a hospital Sunday morning.
A spokesperson for McConnell said, "He is receiving excellent care."
It is unknown why he was hospitalized or what his current condition is.
Earlier this year, McConnell was hospitalized for eight days after experiencing "flu-like symptoms."
McConnell, the longest-serving Senate party leader in U.S. history, announced last February he would not seek reelection this year and instead retire when his current term ends in January 2027.
The senator has dealt with a series of medical episodes in recent years, including injuries sustained from falls and times when his face briefly froze while he was speaking.

It is not an exaggeration to say that this man is one of the most single handedly damaging men of the 21st century. For what he blocked, what he helped happen, and the accountability he prevented from happening. Whether he realises it or not, he is evil.

Mitch McConnell: "Trump is practically and morally responsible for the J6 riot"
Also, Mitch McConnell: "... the former president is constitutionally not eligible for conviction because he is no longer in office (even though the Senate voted 56-44 earlier this week that it was constitutionally possible to convict a former official)."
