AOC trolls Trump, accuses him of falling asleep at Knicks game

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to X to troll the president after the Knicks game on Monday night.

President Donald Trump attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals on June 8, and sat in a suite with his granddaughter, Kai, alongside a few high-ranking Trump administration officials.

In a video shared by the congresswoman, Trump appeared to be shutting his eyes for a period of time while sitting in his seat at the game.

AOC quoted the clip, writing: "WAKE TF UP."

Trump was met with widespread criticism for attending the event, his presence causing intense security measures at and around The Garden.

MSG's watch party outside was cancelled, with officials citing security concerns, and TSA-like screenings were required for all attendees.

During the game, the president was loudly booed when shown on screen, although Trump claimed that it was "mostly cheers" after the match.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani also planned to attend the matchup, although Trump said that the two did not meet during the game.
