I would strongly recommend reading The Last Girl by Nadia Murad. She was one of the Yazidis sold into sexual slavery. You likely know the horror of the Yazidi genocide, but she writes so matter of factly of her experiences it is hard to comprehend.

Sadly, she isn't. She now advocates against using sexual violence as a weapon of war.
